Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Vine (Eve AI) ("we", "us", "our", or "the app") is a product of RSC Studios. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use Vine (Eve AI) on the web or in our mobile apps. It is intended to align with how the product works today, including features that rely on third-party artificial intelligence (AI), including models provided by OpenAI (the same family of technology that powers ChatGPT-style assistants).
By using Vine (Eve AI), you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Vine (Eve AI), we may process:
- Account information: Email address, name, and username when you create or manage an account.
- Chat and usage data:Messages you send, replies you receive, characters ("contacts") you add, and related interaction metadata needed to operate chat, notifications, and support.
- Device and push data: Push notification tokens so we can deliver optional updates (for example, stories or re-engagement messages, according to your settings).
- Sign-in data from third parties: If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, we receive identifiers and basic profile information from those providers (such as email, name, or profile image) as permitted by the provider and your choices.
AI features & sharing data with OpenAI (ChatGPT-class models)
Vine (Eve AI)'s conversational experience is powered in part by large language models accessed through OpenAI's services (commercial API). These models are of the same broad category as the technology behind ChatGPT. They help generate in-character responses in the app.
What we send. To obtain a reply, we transmit to OpenAI the data needed to process your request. This typically includes the text of your message, relevant conversation context (such as recent messages in the same thread, as designed by the app), and instructions associated with the biblical character or scene (for example, system or role prompts). We do not send your data to OpenAI for unrelated advertising, and we do not sell your personal chat history.
Why OpenAI processes data. OpenAI acts as a subprocessor (service provider) to perform the AI inference you request when you chat. Processing happens so the model can generate a response and return it to our servers for delivery to your device.
OpenAI's own terms and policies.OpenAI's handling of information is also governed by its documentation and policies. We encourage you to read OpenAI's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for details that apply on their side, including retention, security measures, and regional practices, which may change over time.
Other AI or infrastructure. We may also use additional models or hosting providers to run the service (for example, alternate AI backends or our own infrastructure). When we use another provider to process message content for modeling, we will treat it similarly: data is shared only to the extent needed to provide the feature, in line with this policy and our agreements with that provider.
How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and secure Vine (Eve AI) (including AI-generated chat).
- Maintain your account, authenticate you, and prevent abuse.
- Send optional notifications you allow (for example, stories or re-engagement messages in line with app settings).
- Respond to support requests and meet legal or safety obligations.
- Understand aggregate or de-identified usage to improve reliability, features, and performance (without using your chats for unrelated marketing).
How we share information
Besides OpenAI and other subprocessors used strictly to run the service (such as hosting, email, or analytics, where applicable), we do not sell your personal information. We may share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer (for example, merger) subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention & security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to comply with law, or to resolve disputes. We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International transfers
We and our service providers (including OpenAI) may process information in the United States and other countries where we or they operate. Those jurisdictions may have different data-protection rules than your home country.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage some choices in the app (for example, notification-related settings). To delete your account, you may use in-app flows, our account deletion page, or contact us as described below.
Children
Vine (Eve AI) is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, please contact us so we can delete the information.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law or as we reasonably determine is appropriate (for example, in-app notice or email).
